The Jane K. Boorstein Endowment for Community Conversations

Honoring Jane’s lifelong work empowering local people to create change in their own communities.

This endowment will support:

LOWO projects in the field
Our longstanding partnership with the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) remains strong. We plan to work with IIRR to expand our community conversation model to additional geographic locations in Asia and Africa.

Scholarships at Teachers College at Columbia University
The Endowment will provide funding for students to investigate the LOWO model of community conversations as a means of driving social transformation.

Further partnerships
We are actively seeking to establish partnerships with similar organizations to broaden the impact of Jane's vision through community facilitation.
